Ingredient Notes

  • Instant very berry hibiscus refresher – grab these from Target, Amazon etc
  • Water – To bring it all together. Start with cold water if you can.
  • Grape juice – Use white grape juice.
  • Coconut milk – you need the fresh coconut milk you get from the chilled section (not tins). You can get either sweetened or unsweetend and also try various flavors version to your taste. Best if chilled before using.
  • Strawberries – A great way to use up leftover strawberries. Slice the ones for garnish just before using.
  • Ice – To cool and refresh.

  1. Add the very berry hibiscus and mix in the cold water until dissolved.
  2. Mix in the coconut milk and grape juice.
  3. Pour over ice and garnish with strawberries before serving.

Tips For Success And Variations

  • Muddle berries – Feel free to muddle some of the strawberries and add into the mixture for more of a berry flavor.
  • Add strawberry syrup – add strawberry syrup for a pinker sweeter drink.
  • Add more or less – add more or less of the ingredients to your taste.
  • Substitute the grape juice – you can use Tazo iced passion tea concentrate (rather than tea bags) for a pinker drink.
  • Replace the milk – Not a fan of coconut milk or just looking for a different flavor? Substitute the milk in the recipe with your favorite non-dairy milk or regular milk. 
  • Top your pink drink with whipped cream. To make, beat together ½ cup of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of confectioners sugar until it is light and fluffy. 
  • Want this sweeter. Then add in a little bit of maple syrup or honey (if not vegan).

  • Use the type of refresher you happen to have on hand – the flavor profile will change a bit.
  • Use frozen strawberries which are more economical.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Starbucks VIA Instant Refreshers Very Berry Hibiscus
  • 2 cups (500ml) water
  • 1 1/2 cups (400ml) coconut milk
  • 1 cup (240ml) white grape juice
  • Ice
  • 11/2 cup strawberries sliced

  • Add the very berry hibiscus and mix in the cold water until dissolved.

  • Pour over ice and garnish with strawberries before serving.
