Ingredient Notes

  • Oats – Use rolled oats for the best texture. Make sure they are gluten free for a gluten free diet.

  • Brown sugar – To give a touch of sweetness. Use maple syrup or honey if you prefer.
  • Spices – Cinnamon and vanilla extract adds so much fragrance and flavor.

FAQs

Can You Use Quick Oats?

It is best to use rolled oats. Quick oats will be too soft and steel cut oats will not be edible using this recipe.

Do I need to portion these out?

No – you can make a big batch in one bowl and refrigerate. Family and guests can just help themselves as needed.

Trouble shoot

If oats have too much liquid, just mix in some extra oats or chia seeds and wait for 10 minutes. If oats are not scoop-able enough, just stir in a little extra milk.
