Ingredients

  • 2 packages (16 oz) cream cheese (16 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded chicken breast finely
  • ½ cup (117 g) shredded cheddar cheese finely (4.12 oz | 117 g)
  • ½ cup (114 g) mayonnaise 4.02 oz | 114 g
  • 2 tablespoons ranch salad dressing mix
  • ¼ cup (60 g) bacon bits 2.11 oz | 60 g
  • 1 cup (100 g) chopped pecans to coat (3.5 oz | 100 g)

Instructions

  • Using a wooden spoon, combine cream cheese, chicken breast, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing and bacon bites in a large bowl.
  • Cover and allow to chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • After chilling, place a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and place the cream cheese mixture in the center of the plastic wrap. Close up the edges and form it into a ball shape.
  • Place the wrapped ball back in the fridge to chill for at least one hour.
  • Chop the pecans and spread them on a large plate.
  • Remove the cream cheese ball from the refrigerator, remove the plastic wrap and roll the ball on the chopped pecan to coat.
  • Serve with crackers and pretzels.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing. This will help it blend smoothly with the other ingredients.
  • Finely shredding the chicken and cheese ensures that they mix evenly throughout the cheese ball, creating a consistent texture.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly to evenly distribute the flavors. This will ensure every bite is packed with deliciousness.
  • Allow the cheese ball to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. This helps it firm up and allows the flavors to meld together.
  • When coating the cheese ball with chopped pecans, gently press the nuts into the surface to ensure they adhere well.
  • Storage - keep the wrapped cheese ball inside the fridge for 5-7 days.
