Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet potato thinly sliced
  • 1 spritz oil
  • 1 pinch salt to season cooked chips

Instructions

  • Preheat Air Fryer to 350F / 180C.
  • Peel and wash sweet potato. Using a mandolin, slice the sweet potato thinly and allow the pieces to dry for 5 minutes.
  • Spritz the slices with oil and place in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
  • Cook 5-7 minutes, until the chips are nice and crispy. Working in batches, repeat the process until all of the remaining slices are cooked.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and serve.

Notes

  • Use a mandolin to get slices of the same thickness for more even cooking.
  • For many chips, you will need to cook in batches.
  • Don’t saturate with oil. A light spritz of oil is all you need.
  • Sprinkle the chips with salt while they are still hot.
  • Cooking time will depend on the thickness of your chips.
  • Buy in Bulk - Sweet potatoes can be stored for a long time so look for larger bags which are often sold at a lower per-pound price.
  • Grow Your Own -  Sweet potatoes are easy to grow, even in a large pot.
  • Store - These sweet potato chips will be the tastiest on the day you make them. Leftovers can be stored in an air-tight container.
  • There are 2 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving.
