Sticky Air Fryer Chicken Wings

  • 1 ½ cup (375ml) coca-cola
  • 1 cup (235g) ketchup
  • 1 cup (213g) brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free soy sauce or regular soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 pounds (907g) chicken wings cut into drumettes and wings


  • Add the coke, ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, lime, mustard powder, paprika and garlic powder into a saucepan. Bring to the boil and cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens to almost the consistency of ketchup.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375F / 190C, pat the chicken wings dry, add half into the air fryer basket and cook for 9 minutes, turning them halfway through. Then remove and repeat with the remaining wings.
  • Coat the partly-cooked wings with the sauce, add half of them back into the air fryer basket, and cook for 9-12 minutes, until cooked through.
  • Repeat with the remaining wings. Then serve and enjoy.
