- 12 leftover chicken tenders or as many as you have, and will fit inside the air fryer
Air Fryer Method:
Preheat the air fryer to 375F / 190C.
Place chicken tenders in a single layer inside the air fryer basket or tray.
Cook for 4-6 minutes, turning the tenders over halfway through the cook time.
The chicken should be crispy and heated through to an internal temperature of 165F / 74C.
Oven Method:
Preheat the oven to 400F / 200C.
Place chicken tenders onto an oven-proof wire rack over a baking tray.
Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning the tenders over halfway through the cook time.
The chicken should be crispy and heated through to an internal temperature of 165F / 74C.
- Allow the chicken tenders to come to room temperature for 30 minutes before reheating.
- No oil is needed.
- Don’t crowd the air fryer basket. Cook in a single layer and cook in batches if necessary.
- Flip the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
- Watch the chicken closely as you may need to adjust the cooking time for smaller and larger pieces.
- Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The temperature should be 165F / 74C when inserted into the thickest part of the chicken.
- If reheating in the oven, place the chicken on an oven-proof wire rack for the crispiest coating.
- Once reheated, do not reheat again or the chicken may become dry.
- Air Fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. It’s best to start with less cooking time, check food for doneness, then add more time as needed.
- Storage – leftover chicken tenders can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- There are 2 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving of this.
