- 8 chicken drumsticks
- ½ pound (226g) brussels sprouts stems removed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
Prepare the Brussels sprouts and place in the bottom of a deep baking dish.
Add the chicken drumsticks on top of the Brussel sprouts.
Drizzle with oil and then sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning.
Bake at 400F / 200C for 30 minutes, or until the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165F / 74C.
If desired, place under the broiler for a few minutes to brown and crisp the skin.
- Look for drumsticks that are similar in size for even cooking.
- If your lemon pepper seasoning blend does not contain salt, you may want to season with a bit of salt.
- Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The temperature should be 165F / 74C when inserted into the thickest part of the chicken.
- If desired, place the drumsticks under the broiler for a few minutes before serving to brown them and crisp the skin a bit.
