WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE

Fast – Start to finish, this dump and start dinner will be ready in 30 minutes. Simple – Make these lemon pepper chicken legs with only 4 ingredients. Affordable – Chicken legs are very affordable and filling. Kid-Friendly – Kids love chicken drumsticks.

INGREDIENT NOTES

Chicken – I’m using chicken drumsticks but check out my other lemon pepper recipes for thighs, wings and chicken breast. Brussels Sprouts – Trim off the ends and cut large Brussels sprouts in half for even cooking.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

Look for drumsticks that are similar in size for even cooking. If your lemon pepper seasoning blend does not contain salt, you may want to season with a bit of salt.   Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The temperature should be 165F / 74C when inserted into the thickest part of the chicken.

 VARIATIONS

Add Garlic – Garlic powder or garlic salt adds a nice earthy flavor to the chicken. Use Fresh Lemon – Spritz the lemon pepper chicken legs with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving for a bright, fresh flavor.

BUDGET-FRIENDLY TIPS

Buy Chicken In Bulk – Purchase chicken in bulk or on sale to freeze for later use. Cook Extra – Make a double batch so you can enjoy the leftovers throughout the week. Cold lemon pepper chicken drumsticks are delicious!
