Made with just 6 simple ingredients, this sweet dip requires only a few minutes of easy prep. It’s so easy in fact, that the kids can even have fun whipping this up all by themselves.

One of the things I love most about this Valentines Day dip is that it’s so versatile. Simply swap the coloring, sprinkles, and dippers to transform this into the ultimate game day snack and Super Bowl dip.
This is one of those awesome make ahead party appetizer recipes that’s a great cold party dip and perfect for bringing to potlucks.
And of course, this Valentines cheesecake dip is an ideal dessert for a romantic Valentine’s dinner for two.

- Red and pink food coloring – I find that gel food coloring gives the best results.
- Sprinkles – Use heart shaped sprinkles for that classic Valentine’s Day appeal.

How To Make It

- Add softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl.
- Use an electric mixer to beat the ingredients together until smooth.
- Fold the whipped topping in, then transfer some of the dip into two different small bowls.
- Add a drop of two of red food coloring to one of the small bowls and a drop or two of pink to the other. Stir to combine, and continue to add the food coloring one drop at a time until you achieve the desired shades of red and pink.
- Then, add dollops of each color to the top of the uncolored dip and use a knife to swirl the colors together.
- Top the dip with sprinkles and serve with the dippers of your choice.
What To Use For Dippers
- Cookies – Shortbread, gingersnaps, graham crackers, chocolate chip cookies Nilla wafers, Oreos, Ladyfinger cookies, etc.
- Fruit – Strawberries, apple slices, pear slices, banana slices, etc. You may need to squeeze on some lemon juice to keep them from going brown.
- More crunchies – Crackers, pretzels, breadsticks, and more.
Tips and Variations
- Let your cream cheese come up to room temperature for easy mixing.
- Add more or less food coloring gel according to your preference.
- Add more or less powdered sugar to make this dip more or less sweet.
- Make sure to chill the dip in the fridge for at least one hour before serving. This helps with a firmer texture.
- To prevent the dip from getting too soft, serve it in a chilled bowl or place an ice pack underneath it if you’re serving it at a party.
- Customize for different occasions – top with red white and blue sprinkles for Memorial Day and 4th of July celebrations, and use crushed candy canes for Christmas.

Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (115g) powdered sugar
- 1 cup (75g) whipped topping such as Cool Whip
- food coloring red and pink
- candy heart sprinkles
