Are you grabbing a drink from your local coffee shop one or two (or more!) times each week? You can make your own specialty drinks, like mocha frappuccino, at home, and it’s so easy.
One of the best ways to save money and stick to a budget is to make things rather than buying them. Your morning coffee (and chocolate) fix is one of the easiest places you can make this change.
No one is suggesting you give up coffee; just make your fancy drinks at home instead! Like this and Copycat Starbucks Caramel Frappe and Iced Boba Coffee.
Cup for cup, making coffee at home will save you DOLLARS per serving. And if you are hitting the drive-thru several times each week, that can add up to a lot of money over the year.

Tips For Success
- This recipe makes 2 servings. We recommend that you only make as much as you can drink as it will become watery as the ice melts.
- Make sure the ice is thoroughly blended before pouring the drinks.
Variations
- Instant Cold Brew – There are some great instant cold brew coffees on the market and they can be a great alternative to making or buying cold brew coffee. Just follow the package instructions to make the amount that you need.
- Heath Bar Frappaccino – Add a bit of caramel to the blender and top with extra caramel drizzle and heath bar chunks.
Budget-Friendly Tips
- Half the Recipe – If you don’t need two servings, divide the recipe in half and only make one serving.
- Double the Recipe – Need ice mochaccino for the whole office? Double the recipe and surprise all of your work mates.
- Make Cold Brew Coffee – Make cold brew coffee at home and store enough for the whole week in the fridge.
Make Ahead And Storage
- Prep Ahead – Make the cold brew coffee in advance and store it in the fridge. It will keep for the whole week.
- Store – Once the ice has been added it will melt and turn the drink watery so it’s best to store the individual ingredients and make a fresh batch as needed.
