Dirty Martini Dip is one of those recipes that everyone loves. It is salty with the bold flavors of a Dirty Martini, but in a creamy, scoop-able dip that you make in 10 minutes.

Using my favorite pantry staple ingredients, I can whip up a delicious and easy appetizer in just minutes. Yeap, I love serving up this Dirty Martini Dip, as it always disappears fast for parties, game days, super bowl, Father’s Day, last minute get togethers, snacking and me time moments.
Why you’ll love this recipe
It’s simple and absolutely foolproof. Here’s why it’s a keeper:
- It’s the perfect no-cook dip: No stove, no oven, no complicated steps.
- Big on flavor, but simple ingredients: This just needs a few simple common pantry / fridge ingredients with minimal prep, and super budget-friendly.
- Make-ahead friendly: Yeap, I can make this up to a day ahead, which is awesome for stress free entertaining. The favor gets better, the longer it chills.
- Crowd-pleaser: A guaranteed crowd-pleaser with it creamy, yet salty, flavor.

Ingredients You’ll Need
Here’s what goes into my version of this dip:
- Cream cheese. I use full fat softened cream cheese at room temperature so it whips up smooth. Reduced-fat cream cheese works too, but the dip will just be a little softer and less creamy. I don’t recommend using flavoured cream cheese, as the dip already has great flavors. However, you can try a garlic herb cream cheese.
- Sour cream and mayo. I like both, but feel free to use only one or the other.
- Olive brine. Friends this is the ingredient that adds that “dirty” flavor to the dip. I suggest starting with 1-2 teaspoons of olive brine, then add more to your taste if needed.
- Olives. I prefer to use finely chopped green olives or pimento-stuffed olives. Save some extra olives for garnish.
- Chopped shallots. I am a huge fan of adding these into the party dip
- Blue cheese crumbles. Whilst totally optional, they do add in a big boost of flavor. I suggest you use basic blue cheese crumbles, since these will be mixed into the dip and use more or less according to your taste preferences.
- Seasoning: A combination of freshly cracked black pepper, fine sea salt and pureed garlic seasoning adds so much flavour to this. For ease I just use store bought garlic puree.
- Dippers for serving. Use your favorite dippers like bread, crackers, pretzels, tortilla chips, bell pepper slices etc.

Bintu’s Tips And Tricks and Variations
I’ve made this enough times to know that these tips and tricks make this a no-fail recipe every time you make it:
- Make sure to fully soften the cream cheese for the best texture. To soften it, leave it out on the counter for 30 to 45 minutes. If needed, microwave it for about 10 seconds at a time, until it is soft and spreadable.
- Remember that the different brands of olives will have different levels of saltiness. So please do add the brine slowly. If you add too much brine, then add a little more cream cheese or sour cream to balance out the sharpness. You might also try adding in some honey to balance out the salt.
- If you want to thin the dip slightly and add additional martini flavor, consider adding about 2 Tablespoons of high-quality vodka or gin (depending on your preference). Make sure it’s a brand that you would drink. A teaspoon of dry vermouth would also add flavor and depth to this dip, but alcohol is not necessary at all.
- If you find that your dip has the wrong consistency, you can easily adjust it to make it just right. If it’s too runny, pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour. As it chills, it will firm up. If the dip is too thick, you can thin it by adding 1 Tablespoon at a time of extra brine from the olives.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes to let everything meld.
- To make it dairy free, use vegan cream cheese and vegan sour cream.
- Add in some red pepper flakes or a bit of hot sauce for a bit of heat.
- If you’re at an adults-only party, you can add a splash of vodka or gin for a little extra boozy fun.
- Top your dip with Parmesan cheese or mozzarella cheese and bake it in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Feel free to make it appetizer style in individual phylo cups for an easy grab-and-go option.

Storage
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–5 days. Make sure to give it a quick stir before serving leftovers. I don’t recommend freezing as dairy dips tend to separate.
FAQs
What do I serve with my dirty martini dip?
This dirty martini dip is delicious along with a variety of dippers and complements a variety of main dishes to take you from holiday celebrations to the big game. Here’s what I love serving with it.
- Crackers: I love to use crackers that have extra flavor, so I like the water crackers with cracked black pepper in them. They’re sturdy enough to hold up to the thick dip but mild enough to support but not overpower the dip. You can use any type of cracker that you love.
- Pretzels: I like the flat pretzel chips. They make it easier to scoop extra dip, but using pretzel rods or soft pretzels would be great too.
- French bread: Slice a baguette, brush it with olive oil, and toast it lightly in the oven for extra crunch.
